Bursa issues UMA query to AAX after sharp rise in price, volume

KUALA LUMPUR – Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query to AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) following a sharp rise in the counter’s share price and volume recently.

At today’s close, AAX shares rose 27 sen or 19.15% to RM1.68, with 43.86 million shares traded.

“Investors are advised to take note of the company’s reply to the above UMA query, which will be posted on Bursa Malaysia’s website under the company announcements section when making their investment decisions,” the exchange said in a statement today. – Bernama, March 17, 2023
