
Kuala Lumpur: Bursa Malaysia opened higher on Monday, in line with the positive performance in some regional markets.
At 9.10am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 6.28 points, or 0.36%, to 1,714.38 from Friday’s close of 1,708.10.
The benchmark index opened 1.60 points higher at 1,709.70.
Market breadth was positive, with gainers outnumbering losers 229 to 187. A total of 360 counters were unchanged, 2,012 untraded and 25 suspended.
Turnover stood at 285.58 million shares worth RM108.52 million.
