Police arrest a 22-year-old bus driver following a fatal three-vehicle collision on the North-South Expressway that left one dead and nine severely injured.

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested the driver of an express bus involved in a fatal three-vehicle crash.

The 22-year-old man was arrested yesterday and remanded for one day to assist with the investigation.

Gombak district police chief ACP Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said the man tested negative for drugs.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the incident.

The crash occurred at Kilometre 441.2 of the North-South Expressway yesterday morning.

It resulted in one death and left nine others severely injured, including a motorcyclist and a lorry driver.

Police received a report about the collision at 7.45 am.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
