  • The incident occurred in the Fribourg canton, approximately 12 miles west of Berne, with police stating the bus was "completely engulfed in flames" upon their arrival.
  • Emergency services, including police, firefighters and medics, responded to the scene, with footage showing the vehicle reduced to a charred shell.
  • Three injured individuals were transported to hospital by ambulance and helicopter, while two others were examined at the scene but not hospitalised.
