A bus travelling from Farrukhabad to Delhi lost control and overturned after hitting a road divider near the Mahamaya Flyover in Noida on Sunday, leaving 17 passengers injured, police said.
Preliminary investigation suggested that the driver may have dozed off at the wheel.
“After receiving information about the incident, local police immediately reached the spot. Seventeen injured passengers were sent to the District Hospital for treatment,” police said, adding they suffered minor injuries.
The traffic movement at the accident site was being managed smoothly and necessary legal action was being taken.
The bus was removed from the road with the help of a crane by the traffic department, and further investigation is under way, police said.
