Kota Kinabalu: State Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe stressed the need for businesses to go digital or risk getting left behind in today’s rapid technological changes.

He said businesses must embrace the fourth industrial revolution (IR4.0) in order to increase their competitiveness, become more efficient while reducing the cost of manpower.

“A wealthy Sabah with industries and entrepreneurs that are at the cutting edge by employing the latest technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Mining, Virtual Reality and Robotics will surely enhance the welfare of all residents here,” he said.

His speech was read by his Assistant Minister Datuk Andi Muhammad Suryady Bandy during the launch of the 2023 Asian Summit at The Pacific Sutera, here, Wednesday.
