Kota Kinabalu: A businessman T.O. Wong has lodged a police report against a TikTok account holder under “Sabahbanah77” for spreading false information and lies on social media.

“Not only Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor’s good name was tarnished by such false claims but also the State Police Contingent, Land Office Department and genuine local investors like us,” he said.

Wong said he received a TikTok video on his WhatsApp which claimed that a land application by him and his group was approved in 15 days “due to his close connection” with the CM.

“I do not know the CM. The land application took longer as it went through the proper checks and procedures,” he said.
