Borussia Dortmund chief Sebastian Kehl insists they're not giving up on keeping Jude Bellingham.
The midfielder is a target for Liverpool and Real Madrid ahead of the summer market.
But Kehl says they are still trying to extend Bellingham's contract.
"There has been no new development. We have to be patient a little more," he told Goal.
"But of course we try to keep Jude Bellingham in Borussia Dortmund as long as possible because he is an incredibly important player. This season he has once again shown how he identifies with this club and makes the team better.
"Things develop due to market mechanisms. So of course I have my thoughts and I also have my wishful thinking. I can't say whether it will happen in the end.
"We will always do everything to keep players of this quality in BVB - because we are ambitious, because we want to win titles. For this we need not only good but also outstanding players."
