BYD Atto 3 Officially Launched In Malaysia: 2 Variants From RM149,800

BYD Atto 3 arrives in Malaysia, brought in by Sime Darby Motors.

Earlier today, Sime Darby Motors launched the BYD Atto 3 electric vehicle in Malaysia. This also marks the introduction of the BYD brand to the country.

The BYD Atto 3 will be sold in two variants here: the BYD Atto 3 Standard Range for RM149,800 and the BYD Atto 3 Extended Range for RM167,800.

BYD ATTO 3 Basic Specs

The BYD Atto 3 is an electric vehicle in the style of a 5-door compact crossover. BYD’s signature Blade Battery is featured here in two sizes which dictate the range, price and equipment. The Atto 3 is between the size of a Honda HR-V or Proton X50.

It is 4455mm long, 1875mm wide, 1615mm tall with a 2720 wheelbase. The ground clearance is 175mm and the luggage capacity is 440L, expandable to 1340L with the rear seats folded.

It weighs between 1680-1750kg depending on model.

Atto 3 Colours In Malaysia

The Atto 3’s interior in Malaysia is a dual tone Eclipse Blue/Hazy Grey combo. The exterior body colour choices are Surf Blue, Forest Green, Parkour Red, Boulder Grey and Ski White.

As standard, both vehicles come with a 12.8″ rotating touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Portable Key Card, Auto air conditioning, 4 USB ports, full LED lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a 5″ digital instrument cluster, full synthetic leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats, support for DC Fast Charging and Vehicle-to-Load power supply, and much, much more.

BYD Warranty And Package

BYD is offering all customers a 6-year/150,000km vehicle warranty, an 8-year/160,000km battery warranty, and an 8-year/150,000km drive unit warranty. In conjunction with BYD’s launch in Malaysia, the company is also offering a few additional goodies to early customers including a complimentary home portable charger, a complimentary vehicle-to-load extension cable and RM1,000 charging credit.
