Former Arsenal defender Sol Campbell is set to become the manager at Southend United.
Sky Sports says Campbell is in advanced talks with the club that are currently manager-less.
Southend had been hoping to appoint Swedish legend Henrik Larsson, but he pulled out of talks at the last minute.
Campbell has not worked since he walked out on League Two side Macclesfield Town in August.
Southend are currently in the relegation zone in League One after 13 matches.
