Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has dismissed the significance of defeat to Norwich City.
City were stunned by the newly promoted Canaries at Carrow Road, leaving them five points adrift of the table-topping Liverpool, who beat Newcastle to continue their perfect start to the season.
However, Guardiola claimed that it is far too early to consider congratulating Liverpool on winning the title already, knowing plenty more twists and turns lie ahead.
"Five points (behind Liverpool) is five points but we are in September," Guardiola said.
What are we supposed to do? Say 'it's September and congratulations to Liverpool, you are champions?'
Not for one second am I going to doubt my players."
