River Plate boss Marcelo Gallardo has told Barcelona star Lionel Messi to button it.
Messi has hit out at authorities after Argentina's Copa America failure.
"For me, Messi shouldn't do that because his word is significant," Gallardo said.
"I don't know if it was a decision he made but beyond being important words, they leave him exposed.
"The decision to speak is his right, he can express his opinion."
