CAAP airports remain operational despite 'Basyang'

MANILA, Philippines — Nineteen airports under the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) continue to operate normally even as Tropical Storm Basyang hit several regions.

DCAAP on Friday reported that infrastructure in Surigao, Puerto Princesa, Camiguin, Ozamiz, Tacloban, Calbayog, Catarman, Borongan, Ormoc, Maasin, Hilongos, Catbalogan, Guiuan, Siargao, Butuan, Bislig, Tandag, Iligan and Pagadian remains functional.

However, the storm has triggered several flight cancellations across the region.
