Cadiz have sacked coach Sergio Gonzalez.
Friday's defeat against Alavs was the final trigger.
Cadiz, currently in relegation positions, has not won a match in LaLiga since September.
"Thank you for everything, Sergio," read Cadiz's social media post confirming the decision.
After losing in Mendizorroza, Sergio conceded his farewell was almost certain.
"Thanks to the footballers for this time. We knew that it was an extra ball, that it was an opportunity, it hasn't gone well, we have to accept it and therefore thank the boys for what may happen," said the coach.
