Caleb Flynn's daughters sent their father a powerful message as he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole on Monday (5 October) for murdering their mother.
The former music pastor, who appeared briefly on “American Idol", staged a home invasion in February after shooting 37-year-old schoolteacher Ashley Flynn, then claimed she was killed by a burglar.
A jury found the 40-year-old guilty of murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence.
The couple's 10- and 12-year-old daughters' written statements were read out in court as their father was sentenced.
"I don't plan on coming to see you," Alyssa Flynn wrote.
