SANDAKAN: The Federal and Sabah State Governments are urged to set up a Special Committee to ensure Sabah’s development expenditure can be used without delay and efficiently.
Sandakan MP Vivian Wong said through the committee, discussions can be held to obtain a more effective spending mechanism in addition to making structural adjustments and reforms as a whole.
She suggested this during a question-and-answer session with the Prime Minister in the Dewan Rakyat regarding the use of the RM6.5 billion development allocation for Sabah in 2023.
Vivian got a written answer from the Minister of Sabah and Sarawak Affairs, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali on the matter.
