
BEAUFORT: The District Water Department is urged to immediately repair the broken main pipe in Jalan Klias Baru, here.
A resident, Ibrahim Salim, said the pipe burst happened on Saturday afternoon, causing water to go to waste.
“As the people in this district, including those around the town, are experiencing water supply disruptions, the broken pipe needs to be repaired as soon as possible,” he said.
In Sipitang, water supply disruptions occurred in Kg Marintaman, involving primary schools, recently.

“We don’t know why the water supply was suddenly disrupted, causing hardship to residents, especially those who do not have water supply storage.
“This situation is more difficult for families who have young children, especially babies. The same for children who need to go to school,” he said.
He added that the residents have to buy drinking water to bathe babies and for cooking.
