RANAU: The uniqueness of Kadazan, Dusun, Murut (KDM) traditional wear needs to be lived, learned and preserved and passed down to the younger generations of the tribes so that they are not lost to time.
The chairman of the Unduk Ngadau (UN) candidate search in Ranau, Ivy J Suimin, said it is an obligation and responsibility of the KDM young generation to preserve the uniqueness of the traditional clothing of their tribe.
“This is important so that it does not disappear in the face of time due to the emergence of various unique clothing of other tribes at the global level,” she said.
