
KOTA KINABALU: Callabio Manufacturing and Sanomedical Asiapac will begin operations at the Sabah Agro-Industrial Park (SAIP) on 1 June 2025.
Callabio will run the Herb Processing and Product Line facilities to produce nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, herbal-based medicines, and drinks. Sanomedical will operate the Cosmetic Lab to manufacture medical products.
The move is expected to boost local industry, create jobs, and support the Sabah Maju Jaya agenda.

The signing was witnessed by Sabah Industry Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe.
During the event, CAIQ Biosecurity proposed a joint venture to turn SAIP into a hub for testing and registering Sabah products for export to China.
