
SIPITANG: Residents in Kampung Long Pasia urged the Public Works Department (JKR) to temporarily suspend logging truck operations until after the Christmas celebrations.
Village chief, Yakub Shim, said many villagers are eager to return home for Christmas, but worsening road conditions have made travel increasingly difficult.

“For example, this morning, we were on our way to Sipitang town but had to stop for a long time because the logging trucks were stuck in the mud,” Yakub said
