Caloocan to provide free rides

THE Caloocan City government said it would provide free bus rides along routes near cemeteries in North and South Caloocan on All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.

Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan said the initiative would be implemented under the city's Public Safety and Traffic Management Department.

Meanwhile, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department, City Health Department, Environmental Management Department, City Police Station and Bureau of Fire Protection will coordinate to maintain order, safety, and cleanliness in the cemeteries.

"We aim to make the observance of Undas safe and convenient for our fellow citizens. Through free rides and other services, we seek to ensure the well-being of every Batang Kankaloo (Caloocan Kid)," Malapitan said.
