MANILA, Philippines — A candidate for district representative of the 5th District of Maguindanao del Norte has withdrawn his candidacy for the Sept. 14, 2026 Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections.
Nasser G. Dalgan, who was nominated by the Bangsamoro Party (BAPA), filed his withdrawal statement on Sept. 14, according to a document received by the Office of the Provincial Election Supervisor in Maguindanao del Sur at 7:03 a.m.
According to Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia, Dalgan did not indicate a reason for his withdrawal.
The document also stated that there would be no substitute candidate.
