Former AC Milan coach Fabio Capello says Roberto Mancini was right to select "Argentinian" Mateo Retegui last month.
Italy coach Mancini called up Tigre striker Retegui, on-loan from Boca Juniors, and was rewarded with two goals in his first two Azzurri appearances.
Capello said: "I would have done it too, without thinking about it.
"(Ciro) Immobile scores in Lazio but much less in Azzurri and (Gianluca) Scamacca struggles in England (with West Ham).
"Mancini must qualify for the European Championship and this Argentinian has good qualities."
