Car blown up outside London’s Kings Cross St Pancras Station

  • Emergency services responded to an incident near St Pancras Station in central London on Tuesday following reports of an unattended vehicle outside the station.
  • The Metropolitan Police carried out a controlled explosion on the vehicle, which was subsequently examined and declared non-suspicious.
  • St Pancras Station was briefly evacuated and main entrances to Kings Cross St Pancras tube station were temporarily closed at the request of police.
  • The security incident caused temporary travel delays across several transport networks, including Eurostar and East Midlands Railway services.
  • Normal operations resumed shortly afterwards within approximately 15 minutes, with Transport for London and National Rail confirming all services are now running as usual.
