PUTATAN: A Proton Saga FLX caught fire on the main road opposite Kampung Ketiau here at around 10pm on Sunday.
Six firefighters from the District Fire and Rescue Station arrived three minutes after receiving the emergency call.
The blaze, which caused 30 per cent damage to the car, was brought under control by 10.08pm and fully extinguished by 10.46pm.
No casualties were reported, and the operation used a powder fire extinguisher and hose reel with water sourced from the fire engine.
Police were also present to assist during the operation.
