TAWAU: A couple was injured after the Perodua Kembara they were travelling in crashed into the rear of an express bus, along the Tawau–Kunak Road, on Saturday.
Both injured victims were taken by members of the public to Kunak Hospital for further treatment.
The accident is believed to have occurred when the Kembara, driven by the husband, failed to avoid the express bus that had stopped in the middle of the road due to a mechanical breakdown.
The Perodua Kembara was reportedly travelling from Kunak town towards an estate along the Tawau road when the incident occurred.
