The cost of preventive care and medications can have a significant impact on stray cat rescuers in Malaysia, as they often take on the responsibility of caring for large numbers of stray and abandoned cats. Stray cat rescuers typically face several challenges when it comes to providing veterinary care for their cats, including:

  • Limited resources: Stray cat rescuers often work on a shoestring budget, with limited funds to cover the costs of food, shelter, and veterinary care for their cats. The cost of preventive care and medications can be a significant burden for rescuers who are already struggling to provide basic care for their cats.
  • Lack of access to veterinary care: In some cases, stray cat rescuers may have difficulty accessing veterinary care for their cats, especially if they live in rural or remote areas. This can make it challenging for rescuers to provide preventive care and medications for their cats, and can increase the risk of diseases and parasites spreading among their cats.
  • A high number of cats: Stray cat rescuers often care for a large number of cats, which can make it challenging to provide individualized care for each cat. This can make it difficult for rescuers to ensure that their cats receive the preventive care and medications that they need to stay healthy.

Despite these challenges, many stray cat rescuers in Malaysia are dedicated to providing the best possible care for their cats, and are committed to working towards a better future for stray and abandoned cats in the country. By working with local veterinary clinics, animal welfare organizations, and other volunteers, stray cat rescuers can help ensure that their cats receive the preventive care and medications that they need to stay healthy and protected against common health problems.

To help these folks, I would like to introduce Dr Hawa Vet, they have been phenomenal in reducing the price to spay, neuter and basic care especially for rescuers, like myself. while also catering for the larger public interms of overall services.

I am not paid to write for them, I wrote this article as part of Newswav "TheGoodStuff" campaign to create more awareness and to support these institutions that are supporting the rescuer community in Klang Valley. an honest recommendation for pet lovers to also consider them for your pet's needs.
