Private equity group Carlyle have expressed interest in buying into Manchester United.
Sky News City editor Mark Kleinman is reporting Carlyle are in talks with the Glazer family, United's American owners, about buying a minority stake.
He stated: "Carlyle, the giant US-based private equity firm, is in talks about a large minority investment in Manchester United Football Club, adding it to the list of parties preparing new proposals before a deadline set by the Glazer family this month."
It's reported Carlyle, valued at 11m, have been in talks with the Glazers for some time.
Meanwhile, bids from Sheikh Jassim, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Thomas Zilliacus remain on the table, though Glazers are demanding a third round of bids be tabled.
