Carol Vorderman has labelled Nigel Farage a “snake oil salesman” after the Reform UK leader resigned as an MP to trigger a by-election in Clacton.
Mr Farage said that he was standing down in order to prompt a "people versus the establishment by-election" in his Essex constituency, following intense scrutiny over his financial arrangements.
The move has been condemned by Sir Keir Starmer as a “political stunt”, and Labour, Lib Dems, the Conservatives, Greens and Restore Britain have already ruled out submitting candidates.
Ms Vorderman, a long-standing critic of the Reform UK leader, slammed him as a “liar” and a “spinner” in an Instagram post on Tuesday (7 July).
