Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes they can take positives from a recent defeat.
The Reds had been on the hunt for an unprecedented quadruple of trophies this season.
However, a loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter final has ended that dream.
When you're saying, 'stopped the quadruple', no club has ever done it before. I go back to what Liverpool did a couple of years ago when they ended up losing out on the two biggest ones in the Premier League and Champions League," Carragher said on The Overlap Fan Debate.
I don't think there was any way that Liverpool were going to win four trophies. I actually, at the start of the FA Cup run, I wanted Liverpool to get beat that game. Once the game starts, you always want your team to win.
I was a little bit like that in the United game but then the way United won it and the way [Neville] was celebrating. I think the two-week break, surely that can help you slightly in terms of the league."
