Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has praised his side for going big on Moises Caicedo.
The Reds have seen a bid accepted by Brighton for the Ecuadorian international this week.
However, the club must now convince Caicedo to join, as Fabrizio Romano states that he still prefers to sign for Chelsea.
Per Carragher, Liverpool had to pay big for Caicedo given their circumstances.
He tweeted: "110M is a big price for Caicedo but Liverpool had to pay big as clubs knew they were desperate.
But signing two top young players for 145M & selling two of your older players for 52M is great business!"
