Brentford defender Ethan Pinnock made his return from injury in a 1-1 draw with Championship side Reading in a behind-closed-doors game at Jersey Road.

Pinnock played 80 minutes alongside fellow senior players Matias Zanka, Mads Roerslev, Josh Dasilva and Shandon Baptiste, who got some game time during the international break.

Reading took the lead moments before half-time, as Royals forward Yakou Meite met a deep free kick and headed the ball over Bees goalkeeper Ben Winterbottom.

Carroll Reading

Meite was partnered by former England international Andy Carroll in the Reading attack, and the ex-Newcastle and Liverpool striker almost doubled his side's lead after meeting Nesta Guinness-Walker's cross, but his header glanced just wide.

The Bees did equalise just after the hour mark, as Kyreece Lisbie cleverly slid a ball through to Alex Gilbert, who fired across Reading 'keeper Dean Bouzanis and into the back of the net.
