Carry out more ‘Munajat Cinta’ activities: Minister

Kota Kinabalu: Muslims are called to encourage the activities of the ‘Munajat Cinta’ Carnival Vol. 1.0.

Deputy Chief Minister III, Datuk Ir. Shahelmey Yahya, said various religious activities were carried out at the Putatan District Mosque grounds, including Haflah Al-Quran, a talk on ‘Munajat Cinta’, Prime Qiamullail dan Dawn Kuliah.

“The three-day programme that started Friday until Sunday also organised a Muslim Women’s Talk, Islamic Art Night, Khat Competition, Small Muazzin Competition, martial arts performances, and nasyid songs.

“Increase our salawat to the great lord Prophet Muhammad SAW because it is He who makes us useful Muslims,” he said when officiating the Opening Ceremony of the Munajat Cinta Carnival Vol. 1.0 on Friday.

Also present were the President of Sabah Islamic Religious Council (MUIS) Datuk Seri Panglima Yahya Hussin, Mufti of the Sabah State Government Datuk Bungsu @ Aziz Jaafar, State Assemblyman, Senator Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohammad Al-Bakri, Director of Sabah Islamic Religious Affairs Department Datuk Saifulzaman Sangul and Putatan District Officer Mokhtar Hussin.
