TWO vehicles were damaged after a wall collapsed at an international school in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur, on Wednesday morning.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department’s Operations Centre received an emergency call via the MERS999 system at around 7.18am. A total of 15 personnel and officers, along with fire engines from the Taman Tun Dr Ismail and Sri Hartamas stations, were dispatched to the scene.
Operations Commander, Senior Fire Officer II Azkhan Hamdan, said that upon arrival, responders discovered a section of the school wall had collapsed.
“We immediately carried out a preliminary assessment to ensure the area was safe,” he said in a statement.
The incident involved two vehicles and parts of the school building, including classrooms, a staff room, toilets and the library.
Firefighters worked alongside Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) personnel to remove the debris from the vehicles. Further action has been handed over to DBKL for follow-up.
“The operation was brought under control by 7.55am. No casualties have been reported in the incident,” Azkhan added. - April 23, 2025
