A case was registered here against a cinema casting agent for allegedly misbehaving with a film actress, police said on Monday.
The alleged incident happened in January this year and the 26-year-old woman lodged a complaint with police on June 12.
The casting agent, who arranges junior artists for movies, offered the woman a role in a film and the movie shooting was completed last year, a police official said. However, he allegedly did not pay her Rs 90,000 remuneration.
The complainant stated that the accused called her to a place on the pretext of paying her the amount, but “misbehaved” with her in the car.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered at Banjara Hills Police Station.
Asked if the accused was taken into custody, the official said, “We will summon him.”
