Castro denies submitting courtesy resignation

MANILA, Philippines — Palace Press Officer Claire Castro denied circulating reports that she submitted her courtesy resignation letter.

In a Viber message on Monday, Castro dismissed the reports, saying “no” when asked if she submitted her courtesy resignation.

This comes after former Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano took over as the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) secretary, replacing Dave Gomez.

When Gomez took office, Castro also submitted her courtesy resignation to “give him the leeway to choose the people he wants to work with at the PCO.”
