MANILA, Philippines — The Catholic Church, along with other religious groups, is set to stage a “White Ribbon March” on June 28, 2026 at the EDSA People Power Monument, demanding accountability from recent developments in the government and the upcoming impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
The movement is led by Kidapawan Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo, along with the Inter-Religious Leaders Council for National Transformation (IRLCNT) and White Ribbon Movement (WRM).
In a press conference on Friday, Bagaforo urged the public to join the protest.
“As citizens, we know our part. We trust our country to God. So let us unite on June 28, 2026, at the People's Power Monument as we hold another large-scale protest,” he said in Filipino.
