CelcomDigi just completed a major connectivity rollout across IOI Corporation’s plantation estates in Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia that delivers a newly transformed digitalized environment for operation, as well as benefiting rural communities to stay connected all the time.
Deployed more than 100 4G and 4G LTE network sites across over 100 IOI estates nationwide, which allows direct internet access for estate offices to run more advanced, connected operations at scale, as well as various streamlined automation, like mill machines, mobile apps for monitoring and connection, IoT for assets and fleet management, and many more in a data-driven ecosystem.
The collaboration also goes beyond IOI itself since nearby communities will be able to access services such as online education, digital healthcare services, and essential platforms people rely on daily.
From a bigger picture view, this partnership ties back to CelcomDigi’s broader push to support Malaysia’s journey toward a 5G digital society, with the company positioning this project as part of its mission to equip enterprises with next-gen connectivity and digital foundations so they can grow, stay competitive, and thrive in an increasingly digital economy.
