Celebrity Traitors live: Dramatic roundtable tie as two Faithfuls fight for survival

The finale of Celebrity Traitors is just one week away – and the latest episode ended with a dramatic roundtable ending in a tie between two Faithfuls.

Friday (22 October) night’s episode began with Miranda Hart being revealed as the next contestant to be murdered.

The remaining 12 celebrities then took on a mission that stunned Traitors, Maya Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny – with all the contestants hilariously naming them as the three most trustworthy. This led to a twist, with one of them winning the power to have a double vote at the roundtable. They chose Kenny.

Later at the roundtable, the contestants voted to banish Sharon Rooney and Joanne McNally, but it ended in a tie. The credits rolled as Kenny’s deciding vote was about to be revealed.

Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC One at 8pm on Thursdays and Fridays.

James Blunt - worst player ever?

23:00 , Jacob Stolworthy

It’s commonly agreed that James Blunt is playing this game terribly.

Miranda finds out who the Traitors are

21:20 , Jacob Stolworthy

Kenny: “Shut up! This is utterly gripping. Mate, he’s gonna win, isn’t he?”

James A: “Wow. James Acaster. Well done, sir. Absolute blinder. And how s*** am I at this game?”

Maya: “Oh my God. Maya. Wow, that’s excellent. I’m speechless.”

Miranda reflects on 'Traitors' experience

21:17 , Jacob Stolworthy

“I basically murdered myself,” she tells Ed Gamble. “I messed up. I had the bouncy floor theory. i did go round giddy with excitement that I nailed it. I did look a bit insane at that point.”

She continued: “I think I was one of the remaining two vocal Faithful. I’ve let my Faithfuls down. I’ve most let down Kenny – I’d eat my hat if he’s a Traitor.”

Uh oh!

Hannah Fry says she 'feels for' Sharon

21:13 , Jacob Stolworthy

Fry echoed something I’ve felt on Celebrity Traitors Uncloaked – that she’s feeling intimidated about speaking up. This is why she struggled to push back in the mission. It’s a shame it’s been used against her in the roundtable, but I do think she probably needs to go. It’s looking like she’s had enough

Time for 'Traitors: Uncloaked'

21:06 , Jacob Stolworthy

I mainly just want to see Miranda’s response to finding out who the Traitors are...

21:04 , Jacob Stolworthy

Cliffhanger ending!

21:02 , Jacob Stolworthy

Did Kenny vote for Sharon or Joanne? We’ll find out next Thursday at 8pm.

Contestants vote again – for either Joanne or Sharon

21:02 , Jacob Stolworthy

Maya votes for Sharon

Leigh-Anne votes for Sharon

James A votes for Joanne

Bash votes for Joanne

Romesh votes for Joanne

Michael votes for Sharon

James B votes for Sharon

Kenny, with the double vote: ????

Joanne and Sharon make their pleas

20:58 , Jacob Stolworthy

One thing’s for sure – a Faithful is leaving this evening.

We have a tie!

20:57 , Jacob Stolworthy

It’s a draw between Sharon and Joanne:

Kenny votes for Sharon (x2 as he had a double vote)

Maya votes for Bash(!)

Joanne votes for Leigh-Anne

Sharon votes for Joanne

Leigh-Anne votes for Joanne

James A votes for Leigh-Anne

Bash votes for Joanne

Romesh votes for Michael

Michael votes for Sharon

James B votes for Sharon

20:54 , Jacob Stolworthy

Michael is back on Sharon because of how her behaviour has changed, thinking she might have been recruited. “You’re like a different person,” he tells her. She defeatedy tells everyone to vote her off but tells them she is a Faithful. I think she’s checked out...

Joanne explains harsh response to Miranda

20:52 , Jacob Stolworthy

Joanne is asked about her blunt reaction to Miranda bringing her theory about Joanne to the table in last night’s episode – and she said it’s because she thought they were “in it together” and was blindsided.

20:50 , Jacob Stolworthy

And now it’s Bash vs Michael Sheen! Let’s go.

“If I was a Traitor, I would either kill you or recruit you. If you’re a Faithful, why are you still here?”

Romesh wades in: “I’d definitely have killed you by now.”

 (BBC) 20:49 , Jacob Stolworthy

Sharon is at the centre of suspicion, here, thanks to Michael – and Leigh-Anne theorises that “someone influential” was recently recruited as a Traitor.

The roundtable begins

20:46 , Jacob Stolworthy

Here we go...

Lucky Leigh-Anne

20:46 , Jacob Stolworthy

At the start of the episode, Leigh-Anne said she hoped something big would happen that day to throw people off her scent – she got her wish! I don’t think anyone is gonna bring her up in the roundtable.

 (BBC)

Kenny's stirring the pot

20:43 , Jacob Stolworthy

He takes James Blunt to one side to hear his thoughts about Sharon. “She’s changed so much – all of these things are adding up,” Blunt says, barking up the wrong tree once again. He adds that trusting Kenny is “probably worth the investment.” Oh James!

Romesh is too funny

20:42 , Jacob Stolworthy

Joanne: “Even if I was a Traitor, I wouldn't kill Michael off. He's great company. “

Romesh: “Can we put 'great company’ to one side? Because otherwise, I'm going to win.”

Incredible scenes

20:39 , Jacob Stolworthy

Kenny given double vote at roundtable

20:34 , Jacob Stolworthy

OK, so here’s what’s happening. One of Kenny, Maya and James A will get given a dagger, which will give someone the power to vote twice at the roundtable.

They choose Kenny to have the power.

Claudia is stunned

20:33 , Jacob Stolworthy

“Well, well, well – what are the chances? This is like an outside turret!”

 (BBC) 20:32 , Jacob Stolworthy

The three Traitors – Maya, James A, King Kenny – are now in the running to win a game-changing power – a power given to them by their fellow contestants. “Have we completed the game?” Maya says to the camera. “You couldn’t have written it,” James A says. Blimey.

Contestants give power to Traitors – without meaning to

20:31 , Jacob Stolworthy

During the challenge, the contestants have to place the money with the people they trust the most. James Blunt lobbies for Maya, Kenny and James A – literally, the three Traitors. Things get a bit tense, though, because Sharon doesn’t agree with the decision – but refuses to explain why when pushed. This is gonna get dredged up big style in the roundtable

 (BBC)

Sadness over Miranda

20:22 , Jacob Stolworthy

20:19 , Jacob Stolworthy

James Blunt says Maya and Kenny are the most innocent contestants – might I refer you to my previous post? He’s so bad at this game!

Romesh raises a great point

20:16 , Jacob Stolworthy

Maya tells Romesh she thinks Michael might be a Traitor, and Romesh raises a great point: how has he not been murdered yet? He mentions this again in the car to Bash and Kenny

Maya and Kenny should pick up on this as it’s a great theory to throw suspicion on arguably the strongest player – it is surprising they’ve not killed him yet!

20:13 , Jacob Stolworthy

If I were in the castle, I would automatically know that anybody James Blunt suspected to be a Traitor was, in fact, a Faithful because he’s so terrible

Miranda gets emotional after being 'murdered'

20:12 , Jacob Stolworthy

Miranda emotionally reflects on returning to the spotlight after health struggles in the past few years.

“I’ve been able to get back and do the thing that I love professionally and do the things that I love personally. Like wandering around the Scottish Highlands and laughing and connecting. There were times that I didn’t think that would be possible again.”

 (BBC)

Miranda Hart has been 'murdered'

20:08 , Jacob Stolworthy

Sad times – the Traitors thought Miranda might be the most likely to suspect them correctly down the line. “No! Absolutely not!” Miranda said when she found out the news before screwing up the scroll – a Traitors first!

It's not Romesh!

20:06 , Jacob Stolworthy

I repeat: Romesh is safe from murder, so it’s either Bash or Miranda. Our guess is Miranda.

20:05 , Jacob Stolworthy

The kitchen table is looking remarkably smaller now! Joanne and Michael are straight in there throwing suspicion on Leigh-Anne, while James B thinks it’s Sharon – it looks like it’s gonna be a tough episode for those two...

Here we go...

20:01 , Jacob Stolworthy

Reminder that it’s Miranda, Bash and Romesh on the chopping block for the next murder – and we’re so very close to finding out who the Traitors picked!

One week to go until the final

19:56 , Jacob Stolworthy

Yes, you read that correctly – this is the last episode before the final week, so expect some big things to occur, to make that wait for the final two instalments as agonising as possible.

The good news? The finale, airing next Friday, will be a bumper episode!

Celebrity Traitors finale date confirmed with show poised for longest-ever episode

45 mins to go

19:14 , Jacob Stolworthy

So the big questions facing us ahead of tonight’s episode include:

Who have the Traitors murdered?

Will Maya and Kenny make James A suffer for leaving them in the lurch in the challenge?

Will Romesh’s hayfever continue to influence the game?

Time will tell!

Michael Sheen holds the power

18:10 , Jacob Stolworthy

In last night’s episode, the celebs had no idea whatsoever who to banish at the roundtable – until Michael Sheen stepped in.

He said: “Moving forward, maybe we do need to think about having the strongest faithful team we can have, so if that has any bearing on people’s thinking – if we’re not sure about who to vote for.”

Cue everybody turning on Jerry Hall, who was banished. If this doesn’t cement Michael as the strongest, most dangerous player, I don’t know what does.

Why would the Traitors want to murder Miranda over anyone else?'

17:30 , Jacob Stolworthy

The internet is convinced that Miranda Hart is the latest victim of the Traitors – and I’m inclined to agree.

Not only am I actually vibing with the idea that King Kenny looked like he was about to write the letter ‘M’ on the scroll, but it would make sense for Maya Jama to want Miranda gone.

Why? Well, earlier in the episode, Miranda became convinced that one of the people standing next to her in the challenge was a Traitor, as she felt a floorboard creak while she was blindfolded. Much to Maya’s glee, she not only said she thought the Traitor was Joanne McNally, but at the roundtable, she revealed she had debunked her own idea altogether.

However, with the Faithfuls being whittled down, the contestants will no doubt become hungry for any details they have to go on – and Maya could be worried Miranda will return to her theory, but consider whether it was Maya, not Joanne, she heard walking about.

Getting rid of Miranda now eliminates any chance of this happening, so it seems like a logical choice.

Did the shield task benefit the Faithfuls too much?

16:00 , Jacob Stolworthy

For the first time in Traitors history, a challenge permitted the Traitors the exclusive opportunity to add to the cash prize – but by unveiling themselves in front of the blindfolded Faithfuls.

It was a nerve-inducing task that placed Maya and Kenny in the firing line – but controversially not James A, who felt he was wedged too closely in between two faithful.

It was an unexpected twist, but one that might have served to give the Faithful a helping hand – especially because of what sounded like creaky floorboards in the shack they were in.

Celebrity Traitors is ratings hit with over 15m viewers

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Celebrity Traitors has smashed TV records after the first episode was watched by more than 15 million people within seven days of transmission.

The overall figure counts those who watch the show on computers, tablets, smartphones and television sets and is the largest TV audience of 2026 to date.
