The finale of Celebrity Traitors is inching ever closer and things are starting to get seriously tense in the castle.
Thursday (22 October) night’s episode began with Ross Kemp being revealed as the celebrity who was murdered in plain sight, via a sleeping potion and a yawn. But his exit didn’t bring the Faithful any closer to banishing a Traitor.
The remaining 12 celebrities then took on a mission with a twist. They were all tasked with building their own shields from puzzle pieces, but during pauses in the challenge, Maya Jama, King Kenny and James Acaster had to sabotage their efforts in order to build up the prize pot.
Well, they were supposed to. James A decided he wouldn’t be taking part in the treachery and didn’t even remove his blindfold – which infuriated his fellow Traitors and divided fans.
Later at the roundtable, the Faithful once again banished another of their own by voting out the iconic, but chaotic, Jerry Hall.
With another murder set to take place tonight, some fans think they’ve already worked out who’ll be next to go after spotting a potential clue at the end of last night’s episode – so read ahead for the newest theory.

When asked after his exit whether the show was everything he imagined him so be, Kemp told the BBC: “The fear of failure on this is not comparable to anything. Whether you’re an actor, or in a hostile environment where you could get killed, you don’t let people down. Yes, no one’s going to get killed here, but the wish of not wanting to let yourself down or the people around you, was quite the drive.
“I was under a considerable amount of pressure by my children to do this, and you can’t really say no to it. It’s so popular. But also, it’s not like anything else. So I’ve enjoyed it immensely.”

After being murdered by the Traitors – who did the deed by making him yawn – in last night’s episode, Kemp posted a video of him yawning to his followers, telling them: “Good night and love you all.”
Letting out yet another yawn, she ended with: “And thank you for watching.”
Who was banished last night?

“I've loved being with you all. I've had the most fun. I haven't laughed so much in years,” she told them during her exit. “Truly, it's been a great pleasure. I'm sorry I made some mistakes, but I have always been a Faithful. I told you. I love y'all.”

Michael, James Blunt and Joanne all managed to win theirs in the challenge (along with James A).
With few options to choose from, the Traitors settled on Romesh, Bash and Miranda for the murder shortlist.

Despite the fact she guessed James A was a Traitor earlier in the series, he wasn’t on Jerry’s final list of suspects. That honour went to James Blunt, Leigh-Anne and Miranda.
Discovering their identities, Jerry said: “Oh my god! Kenny! Oh, I was so stupid. Woaaaah.”
Moving on to James... “I did suspect him at one moment.”
And Maya? Jerry was barely capable of words. “Those sneaky Traitors,” she said. “They got me. I think they’re gunna win.”

Oh, it’d be a cruel twist, wouldn’t it? For the paranoid Faithful to actually meet his maker in the castle via the murder in plain sight?
I’ve made it clear all along that I do not want Ross to leave the series but I will laugh out loud if that’s how he goes.
Jerry Hall is murdered
Neither Ross nor Jerry seemed close to yawning before the credits rolled on Friday, but if I had to put money on one of them doing so, it’d be the (iconic) Jerry Hall.
Another celebrity enters the room
There’s every chance it may be another contestant who takes the bait. We’ve seen Joanne McNally saunter in and out of the murder room (as I am calling it). There’s nothing to stop another celeb from doing the same and falling victim to the yawn plot.
The Traitors fail
If this happens, we’ll be in truly uncharted territory. Would the Faithful be told there was an attempted murder? I presume so, which would then lead to every action from the night before being dissected...

Recap: How the last episode ended
Thursday 22 October 2026 16:00 , Rachel McGrathIt was the moment Ross Kemp was dreading most: the murder in plain sight.
And after spending his first few days in the castle on red alert, TV’s best-loved hardman found himself as one of the prime candidates for murder.
The Traitors were given a typically elaborate set of steps to carry out the latest murder.
They had to first spray a perfume bottle in a room (which Kenny did with ease) before luring in a victim and “boring them to death” until they yawned.
James and Maya took the lead on the second part of the task, and managed to coax Kemp and Jerry Hall to sit down with them.
But in the closing moments of Friday’s show, it looked as though neither Faithful was going to take the bait and yawn.
We’ll likely find out what happened next in the opening moments of tonight’s show.
