- Actor Michael Sheen is amongst 21 contestants taking part in the 2026 series of The Celebrity Traitors, which launches on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Thursday at 8pm with Claudia Winkleman returning as host.
- Sheen revealed that he considers his acting background to be a distinct disadvantage in the competition, believing other players will automatically be suspicious of his profession and assume he is deceitful.
- Fellow cast member Richard E Grant supported this view, acknowledging that non-actor contestants tend to view actors with inherent suspicion, assuming they are natural-born liars who cannot be trusted at the roundtable.
- Comedian Joanne McNally revealed that the six comedians in the line-up, which includes Romesh Ranganathan and Miranda Hart, have not formed a secret alliance and are fully prepared to eliminate one another for entertainment.
- The series will see host Claudia Winkleman secretly appoint Traitors amongst the star-studded cast, requiring the remaining Faithfuls to uncover their identities before they are eliminated from the castle.
