Celine Dion immortalised as Barbie doll complete with iconic Titanic look

A new signature Barbie doll has been created in the likeness of Celine Dion.

The doll's outfit recreates the navy, long-sleeved dress Dion wore for her performance of the Titanic theme song “My Heart Will Go On” at the Academy Awards in 1998.

A blue necklace is also part of the design, inspired by the “heart of the ocean” jewel, which plays an important role in the 1997 blockbuster.

The doll's hair is styled into an updo. It also wears a pair of silver earrings.

Dion said: “It is a true honour to join the Barbie legacy with a doll inspired by one of the most meaningful moments of my career.

“I hope this doll inspires everyone to express themselves with confidence, follow their dreams and believe in the power of their own voice.”

She is the latest star to have her likeness used for a Barbie doll, following the likes of Mariah Carey and Tina Turner.

Margot Robbie, who played Barbie in the 2023 blockbuster film, also had a doll made in her likeness.

Dion has sold nearly 260 million albums worldwide.

That makes her one of the best-selling and most decorated artists in pop music history, known for hits including My Heart Will Go On and Because You Loved Me.

Last month, the singer was brought to tears on stage during her emotional comeback concert in Paris, telling fans she had kept her pledge to return following major health struggles.

Dion’s break from performing came in 2022, when she revealed that she had been diagnosed with stiff person syndrome (SPS) diagnosis and cancelled her Courage world tour.

On stage, the five-time Grammy winner was filmed crying during her emotional return to the stage before delivering a speech to tens of thousands of fans in the crowd.

“It’s amazing we are all together,” Dion addressed the cheering audience.

“I made a promise; I made a promise to come back and to be back on stage. Here I am singing for you, and singing for me. Thank you so very much for your support, your patience. I am everything I am because you love me.”
