Celta Vigo attacker Iago Aspas was delighted for the fans after victory over Villarreal.
The result sees Celta closer to safety from relegation.
Aspas said: "It was a difficult victory, like almost all of them.
"Their expulsion was very good for us to be able to overcome their pressure, against a team in a very positive dynamic and with great players.
"I am also very happy personally and also thank our fans because with their support we are half saved."
Damin Rodrguez also said: "When you get three points, you are very happy. We are one step closer to the goal. Happy with my first start, which I dedicate to my mother on what was her day. It's a shame that I saw the yellow card and they had to change me because we could have one less."
