Celta Vigo coach Rafa Benitez was left frustrated after defeat at home to Real Sociedad.
Brais Mendez scored an early winner for La Real's 1-0 triumph.
Benitez said: "It was very difficult, they took the lead, they scored a great goal that made the difference in the end. They are a good team, they have a job, they know what they have to do, they have intensity. That goal was decisive.
"You had to compete well. The goal gives them a positional advantage because they were well positioned at the back. They had that intensity and that power.
"It was about trying to catch them and being precise."
