TAWAU: Two people were injured after a cement mixer truck lost control and crashed into the office building of a concrete manufacturing company at Batu 5, Jalan Apas here on Friday.

The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received the emergency call about the 10-ton vehicle losing control at 8:50 a.m.

In the accident, both victims, aged 60 and 36 respectively, reportedly sustained minor injuries from the impact of the collision.

Meanwhile, a fire team from the Tawau Fire and Rescue Station, led by Senior Fire Officer (PBK) II Jehrey Ibno, conducted monitoring at the scene.

The fire team also carried out information gathering and inspections related to the risk level at the accident site.

Operations ended at 9:14 a.m. after ensuring the situation at the scene was under control.
