Kota Kinabalu: Works for the link between Centre Point Sabah and the multi-million ringgit KK Skybridge are set to commence and are planned to be completed by the end of November 2022.
The 400-meter skybridge is meant to connect the mall to various commercial hubs — Api-Api Commercial Centre, Warisan Square Commercial Centre, Oceanus Waterfront Mall and Asia City, according to a report.
“As we are already in the endemic stage and many restrictions have already been lifted, more tourists are expected to come and visit Sabah,” the mall was quoted as saying.
“The mall management believes that this is a good opportunity to complete the skybridge linkages which eventually will boost tourism development for the state.”
E-hailing drivers and the public are advised not to park at the construction area, especially during rush hours, in order to minimise traffic jams around the mall.
The mall also said that KK Skybridge is part of the government’s project and they have spent about RM19,000 on preliminary planning and consultation for the KK Skybridge linkages construction project.
The overall cost for the project is RM700,000, wholly borne by the mall management.
