LABUAN: The Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce said that the doing away with mandatory road tax stickers and driving licence is a praiseworthy step taken by the Transport Ministry as it would ease the burden of thousands.

Its chairman Datuk Wong Kii Yii said: “Apart from the cost-cutting in the services provided by the Road Transport Department, there are other benefits such as road tax stickers fading and going beyond visibility be a thing of a past.”

He said he had come across with many cases where the road tax faded six months before its expired date.
