Reaffirming the UT Administration’s commitment to transparent, responsive and citizen-centric governance, Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria on Monday held a Samaadhaan Shivir for residents of Maloya.
During the event, teams from various departments received 84 grievances and applications from residents. All complaints were duly documented and forwarded to the departments concerned for necessary action.
Residents raised several issues relating to sanitation, drinking water supply, electricity, roads, street lighting, housing, public health services, education, sewerage and solid waste management.
Concerns regarding education, sports infrastructure, cleanliness, security and drug abuse were also highlighted, particularly in view of Maloya’s proximity to the Punjab border.
The residents demanded an alternative access route to improve connectivity in the area. The UT Administrator directed officers to ensure timely disposal of grievances.
