PAPAR: There is a need to change the attitude of waiting to be given free Jalur Gemilang and State flags by government officials to celebrate the upcoming Merdeka Day end of this month, said Kawang Assemblyman Dato’ Sri Ghulam Haidar Khan Bahadar.
He said people also need to change the mindset that the organisation of the National Day month only rests on the shoulders of government departments or civil servants.
“Such changes (in terms of the attitude and mindset) are imperative because Malaysia belongs to us and it is also our responsibility to make efforts in getting the flags to celebrate the month-long celebration of Merdeka.
