If you are part of the Malaysian EV community, you know the frustration: you’re at 5% battery, you finally reach a charging station, but there’s a fully charged car sitting in the bay with no owner in sight.
To tackle this "bay-hogging" headache once and for all, ChargeSini has officially announced a major update to its policy. Starting 1st May 2026, the free idle fee benefit will be removed from all subscription plans.

While "removing a benefit" might sound like a tough pill to swallow, it is actually a massive step forward for every driver who values their time and battery percentage. Here is why this change is a win for the community.
Say Goodbye to "Bay Hogging"The free idle fee was originally designed to give subscribers a bit of flexibility. However, in reality, it often led to charging bays being occupied long after a vehicle was fully topped up.

This means: By removing the "buffer time," there is now a direct incentive for drivers to move their vehicles immediately.
Result: You are far more likely to find an empty, ready-to-use charging bay exactly when you need it.

ChargeSini has always been a proponent of ethical charging. Most of their stations are already equipped with advanced parking lock systems to prevent unauthorized parking, and this policy update is the final piece of the puzzle.
This means: The network is moving away from a "convenience-first" model to an "access-first" model.
Result: It levels the playing field for all EV users, ensuring that charging infrastructure is used for charging, not for long-term parking in premium spots.
A More Reliable, Efficient NetworkWhen chargers are used efficiently, the entire network performs better. Removing the idle fee benefit encourages a "charge and move" culture that is essential as the number of EVs on Malaysian roads continues to skyrocket.
This means: ChargeSini is prioritizing network turnover. The faster cars move out, the more cars can move in.
Result: Reduced waiting times and a much more reliable experience when you're planning long-distance trips or quick city top-ups.
Starting 1st May 2026, ChargeSini subscribers will need to be a bit more mindful of their charging sessions. While the "free buffer" is going away, it is being replaced by something much more valuable: Fairness.
At the end of the day, a charging network is only as good as its availability. By promoting responsible usage and ensuring bays remain clear, ChargeSini is ensuring that the next time you pull up to a charger, you won’t be met with a "hogged" bay, you’ll be met with a green light.
